Dr. Michael Gartlan has focused his career treating patients with sinus and allergic diseases, hearing disorders, pediatric ear, nose and throat problems with special interest in surgery for the ears, sinuses, thyroid and parathyroid glands. Dr. Gartlan graduated from the University of Illinois-Urbana with Phi Beta Kappa honors and the University of Illinois College of Medicine with Alpha Omega Alpha (Top 5%) honors. He completed a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship at Lurie’s Children’s Hospital, Otolaryngology Residency at the top-rated University of Iowa, advanced training in sinus surgery and facial reanimation in Pittsburgh and Loyola University Medical Center Surgical Internship. He is board certified in Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery and is the only fellowship trained pediatric otolaryngologist on the medical staff. Dr. Gartlan was selected to become a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Gartlan has been named to the US News & World Report/Castle Connolly Top Doctor list annually since 2009.
