The practice of medicine is a special relationship between doctors and patients. I often tell my patients that my roll in their care is to provide information and assistance in making some of the most important decisions of their lives in particular, the pursuit of the best healthcare for the individual. Ultimately, the most important person in any medical conversation is the patient. While I am very interested in general aspects of both pulmonary and critical care medicine, my specific outpatient medical interests are in the areas of lung cancer diagnosis, complex obstructive lung disease (asthma, COPD, etc.) and interstitial lung disease (especially IPF and sarcoidosis).

AMITA Health is committed to advancing medicine through clinical research. Clinical research trials are a way to test the safety and effectiveness of new ideas and procedures in an ethical, controlled environment. Many of the current medical treatments available today were developed in a clinical research trial.
